PlayStation vita overall Review, Specifications and future predictions

PlayStation has dominated stores for a long time with its incredible console systems and is still improving over time with its bestselling console being the PS2! The PlayStation Vita was launched a few years ago and still holds up great as you can use it as a gaming device or even a controller on PS3 and PS4 Consoles. This device can still tag along everywhere you go as they’ve recently just added new games to the Vita. The Vita is a great asset among PlayStation and is really great as it is known globally and has games made for basically everyone.

The PS vita is a portable gaming console equipped with Sony’s favorite PSP games alongside the device which expands the user’s decisions. The 5.0 inch screen takes advantage of the full LCD Display and shows up to 720p which looks remarkable not only when playing games but also watching videos, viewing pics and surfing the web. The PS Vita comes along with great pre-installed apps so you can listen to music, watch videos, Take amazing photos, Text your PlayStation friends and Browse the internet which is great because it adds more meaning to the device. The Vita comes with one pre-installed virtual game called Welcome Park within it you’ll find games that are meant to strengthen your gaming abilities and are quite fun to play.

At the back of the Device has a well top centered camera and a full 5 point back touchpad which you can use in the pre-installed game welcome Park, Navigation in web browser and even in Vita games which transforms the way the user plays and create new opportunities. Just imagine playing on a device that support Front and Back screen Touch!

The device isn’t that heavy even a 1 year old could hold it so you can enjoy playing games without fighting against gravity. The music playback sounds crystal clear even at full blast but the only problem you’ll be facing is using it in a conversational room even if you have pretty good ears so I’d recommend buying headphones. I like how they’ve put speakers at each side front faced so you can pick up as much detail as possible and won’t interfere when using the device. The volume buttons on the right side are a great addition as you can effortlessly tweak the volume as you’re playing games or perhaps listening to music or watching a video. The dual analogues are nicely built in and can actually be used to control the device besides from the 5 point touchscreen. The transparent L and R triggers have been included in the build design which makes this device look evenly balanced and not after thought.

The device runs smoothly as soon as it boots up (which takes 15 seconds) The browsing speed is really fast and I’ve actually been able to download videos and music directly from YouTube and other websites such as www.genyoutube.net and www.mobiletvshows.net etc. but only In MP4 format which is alright and I’d recommend you to get videos in 720p which looks extremely good. The PlayStation store is regularly updated every few weeks to months which has superb games for everyone to enjoy but not only PS Vita games but also PSP Games too which is always wonderful. There is a dedicated DEMO games page for you to actually try out before considering to buy a game which gives you a good idea of what you’ll be expecting.
This device also has Bluetooth built in which serves in connecting music output devices and cannot transfer things from the Vita to a e.g. Smartphone, Laptop etc. in order to transfer things from the vita to the Laptop you need Content manager and Internet Connection and will only work that way.

To actually be able to View and Take pictures, Watch videos and play games you are required to have a special PS Vita memory card as the device does not have a built in storage system. They’re large variety of PS Vita memory cards to choose from so you can store as much as you want starting from 4GB and the highest being 64GB.

Overtime I’ve also seen that PlayStation released a brand new Vita 2000 with a whole new slim look and built in storage system which looks fantastic in my opinion. The device looks next gen and very stylish as it comes in a wide range of colors and a PS logo at the back of the system with even a whole new charging port
which reduces bulkiness.

The portability of the device is extremely high but if you do put it in your pocket you’ll constantly feel the analogues rolling around which could be a bit annoying so I’d recommend you to get the special case for the vita. But don’t worry you can still easily slip this device into your backpack and be on the move in seconds which makes this a great device to bring along.

Battery life on this device is quite good for this type of system. Gaming use will get you around 4 hours and if you’re just listening to music whilst the screens off then expect 7 hours and as for browsing the web via Wi-Fi or data then it’s around 5 hours as for videos expect a strong 4.5 hours.
The future of the PS Vita is quite predictable as the sales are slowly decreasing Sony is trying to boost them by tipping you with the controller feature which somehow works and is fully supported on the PS3 and PS4. Amazon still has great bundles which are just plain awesome and have recently added new ones with new games coming out and all which is a sign that tells us that the Vita is still Alive and doing just fine.

If you’re a PlayStation lover who loves gaming on the move then this sounds like your type of device it feels comfortable in your hand and the tactile buttons are extremely good. The gaming power is only limited to your battery life other than that this device is all around good. Getting started will take no time at all and you’ll easily get used to the system as you explore its features.
