PS TV Review and thoughts
The PlayStation TV can somehow be said that it’s basically the PS Vita but plus the TV part as well although that it kinda true it’s more than that. The PS TV was launched sometime just after the PS VITA but why? This console adds a whole meaning to gaming where it is supported on multiple platforms.
Gaming is not only about the kind of games we play but also
about the quality of the game itself. Imagine playing call of duty with 1D
graphics or an extremely tiny screen which is a straight forward no deal.
PlayStation TV has boosted not just itself up but also the PS
vita which makes you think of purchasing both devices. The PS TV has a few
identical features that can be easily spotted by the fans such as the software
(big giveaway) or the game cards etc….

The device doesn’t really look bad and you can easily hide it
so nobody knows it’s actually there it just looks like a simple flat box but
other than that you shouldn’t worry about space when you consider getting this
device.
The PS TV is a console that combines Sony’s PS Vita system
the only difference being that it isn’t portable and that’s as far as it goes.
In best ways I can describe it as a slim rectangular box that has the PS Vita
Software like backed up into it so you can enjoy not only PS TV games but also
the PlayStation Vita as well. Controls being that of a PS3 and overall has
everything you’d find on the PS Vita so it would take you absolutely zero
seconds to get used to if you’re familiar with the PS Vita.
Although some may seem like this device is just a waste of
time but I don’t think that’s the case. The thing about portable devices is
that they can lack the screen we need to see all those glorious details and
this upsets a lot of people who love games that involve of detail such as a
racing game but the good thing is that the PS TV can connect via an HDMI cable
straight to your Flat screens or monitors which makes you feel like you’re part
of the game and put’s crystal HD to the test.
The game card slot being that like the Vita is a nice touch and
since you can sync your account to PlayStation you don’t have to worry when playing
games on one console and switching to the next which is a nice touch. The even
better thing is you don’t have to spend money buying games for the PS TV if you
already have a PS Vita you can just use games from it instead.
Personally I don’t really think this device was designed
enough for my liking because it doesn’t really look new and different in terms
of software being the same of the Vita which is a fancy way of saying that it
is just a Vita with an HDMI cable and a PS3 controller. My expectations of the
PS TV were really high at first but only to see the Vita replica which is a bit
disappointing.
The PS Vita is a great portable gaming console but this “TV”
version makes it sound horrible just looking at the interface makes me wonder
if somebody hacked the Vita and displayed it on their flat screen somehow or
somebody created some emulator for it.
I’m not saying don’t get this device or anything like that
this is just how I feel in terms of how well they’ve done creating a new
console that is different from the rest Is not very good. A great idea would be
recreating something like the Nintendo
Switch where there is a docking
station to put your device in that connects straight to the TV whilst you kick
back with a PS3/4 controller.
But I think these device was quickly launched into the market
because of people constantly complaining about screen size. So they thought the
best thing they could do is create a console with the same internals like the
Vita but the only difference is you have a bigger screen to play it on.
