Common Mistakes people make when using YouTube
I got an email from Anya magruder some time ago with the
question, “is it possible that people make mistakes when using YouTube”? And we
started a conversation that lasted 2 days in depth on how that could occur.
Later on I found that she actually meant “What do people do wrong when using
YouTube”? So I decided to touch the subject since I had no other requests and
dug deeper in YouTube.
When Using YouTube you might not even realize that you’re
doing some things that will just waste your time and eventually finish your
bundle. Users get dissatisfied and have a bad experience and sometimes having a
blank mind on the site so we’re going to look at the common mistakes
individuals make when using YouTube.
.Open 10s of tabs
Instead of being on YouTube lots of users look at their
dozens of tabs that they have opened up and just wait for the video to load.
The problem with this you might be wondering is that every time you open up a
new tab whilst streaming a video on YouTube not only does the loading time in
overall decreases but a bit of your ram keeps getting eaten up and this results
in that split second delay when swapping tabs which is powerful enough to cause
serious drags and that not responding phase which will eventually ask you to
force close your web browser.
. Subscribe
to unnecessary channels
We all know how that every single youtuber ask us to
subscribe to their channel and to be completely honest not many people deserve
our subscribers. I would keep a maximum of 20 people to subscribe on different
categories because if you’re out there giving everyone your vote, you’re going
to have one of the worst Home User interference later. For those who don’t
understand, it just basically means your YouTube will be clouded with useless
channels you’ve subscribed to which will just drag your PC more and use up all
of your data. Just because you saw a 1 minute clip that was awesome it doesn’t
mean you have to subscribe!
.Watch & load
What I like to call Watch loading occurs when a YouTube user
tries to watch a YouTube video whilst loading another one on the side. The huge
problem with this type of thing is that you’re stressing your browser to
simultaneously load 3+ videos whilst watching one. This will cause the Videos
to load 3x times slower and you’ll just use up all your bandwith. If I were you
I would at least let the video load until 60% and then start playing but for
long videos let’s say 1 hour, yous should at leaseat let the first 10 minutes
load then start watching. I know how really important this is and it will
really do wonders for you. Even if you have to spend a couple of dollars to get
there, then it’s absolutely no problem!
. Use slow
Internet connections
If it takes you more than 5+ seconds to load any webpage on
the internet that means your internet is not fit for streaming YouTube videos
at all. I don’t know why people still use 2G to stream videos but you’ll be
sitting there the whole day waiting for your precious video to load. Take it
upon yourself to invest in faster WIFI or faster mobile internet services. If
you do this you’ll have no stress at all loading that 1 hour video as it will
take you mere seconds for you to load it.
.Streaming in low
quality
There’s no reason for you to be on a website that streams 4K
but choose the lowest possible quality to play in. The lowest I’d recommend
since the world is developing so fast would be 480p and below that, is just
embarrassing. When you’re watching a video that requires a lot of visuals more
than talking, you should probably just stream in a better quality. I feel like
since YouTube came a long time ago, Devices running early android were
comfortable for 360p streaming but now you really need to catch up!
. Open
links without watching the review
When a YouTuber has a special Unboxing video and you just
jump to the descriptions just to see all those precious links, I hope you have
fun knowing all the hidden tips and tricks that gadget has. Some Youtubers
purposely leave special promo codes at the end of their videos only for the
loyal viewers who stick to them till the end. Not only that but they could also
put competitions which could land any viewer money!
. Watching
the same video instead of saving it
For this I can’t really blame YouTube viewers because they
might not have the knowledge of saving the videos they love watching. If you
ever want to save videos directly from YouTube, instead of wasting your time
and loading that same video every single time you need it. Make sure you
download all your YouTube videos at genyoutube.net
. Follow
tutorials in real time
I’ve seen people following a tutorial in real time because
they were in a hurry and scared of their devices being damaged permanently that
they actually followed the tutorial! This is very funny to me because once I
spilt water all over my keyboard by accident and I quickly jumped to YouTube to
find a tutorial on how to fix a wet keyboard and to my surprise I found this
bogus video with a guy cleaning his whole laptop keyboard with water and a
toothbrush and at the end of all that 10 useless minutes his keyboard still
wasn’t working. Not only did he waist his and my time, at the end of all that
he had angry people in the comments telling him they spoilt their keyboards
even more.
