6 Things you should consider when choosing a tech store
Whether it’s buying a new laptop or a new smartphone, unless you order from online there’s always going to be that time where you have to enter a consumer electronics store. Before you enter the store you should at least consider these things before buying and setting that one as a default. Readers might be asking themselves “what is the best online store to buy from?” but there’s a lot of answers to this and could get responses like the best in service? Or, the best laptops? You probably get the point.
6. Go there with a plan
You can’t just go into a store without knowing exactly what you want or what you’re looking for. If you went there to get a smartphone with 6GB ram and 64GB internal storage then you should exactly do that. “Never settle for less” and go there with a certain aim. Some people would just want to go in and look for around just to see what’s there and in the end, they might be leaving with an item they didn’t expect to buy. Not only are you decreasing your budget but you might delay yourself for that fancy gadget or smartphone you’ve always wanted.
What I like to do is, when I see a certain product I like let’s say from an ad or one of my friends show it to me. I write it down on my phone or on a piece of paper and later on the day I will start searching for that product to know it better in depth before I buy it.
5. Compare from other stores
There’s no reason you should be paying more for a product if you can get it at a cheaper from another store! By comparing stores, not only can you save more but you can get special deals such as coupons that other stores might not be offering. I know how tempting it can be to buy a product at first sight but if you just took at least 2 minutes to compare that item to different stores in that part of the area or across the internet I bet you can find a store that sells it cheaper.
This makes the browsing experience a bit more fun and widens your range which allows you to explore cool gadgets you never knew existed. I encourage YOU to go on YouTube and search “cool gadgets never knew existed” and you’ll thank me. When I first discovered this, I was really impressed to hear about some companies I’ve never heard of developing insanely cool futuristic gadgets you can buy right now!
4. Read Reviews
To get the history of the tech store you could search reviews on other blogs or websites. Tech consumers usually write reviews about other stores using their website or blog. On these you can find the users experiences and any issue they’ve encountered such as if the product was shipped too late or the product was damaged and this makes you get the idea of how the store is in deep detail.
It might sound like nobody does this but hundreds of top authorities in different niches actually dedicate their time and look at every aspect of that particular store you might want to buy from. They can even review my Blog if they wanted to! This is to really ensure that the users get high quality if they’re looking for it.
3. Look at the store policy
It’s no good when you buy a product that doesn’t work or has a fault and at the end you can’t even return because of the store policy! If you want to be in a safe space and feel confident in buying anything you could ever want from that particular store, you should definitely read or even ask in the contact support about the store policy. That way if anything happens to your goods or you don’t want it anymore, you can just simply send it back and get a full refund.
There’s nothing more embarrassing than going to the store where you bought your phone, asking for a refund and not getting anything but a piece of paper with the store policy on it and hearing a response of “ Have you read our store policy”?.
2. Frequent Updates
When a certain gadget or laptop hits the market, stores usually receive them on short notice to make sure they benefit from high profits since the product is new to the market and everyone wants it. Because of that it’s very important to know when a store receives new items fast so you don’t have to wait more than you have to.
The smart thing to do is follow your store on social media or via email notifications so that when a new gadget or whatever comes out that way you can get your hands on it before they do! I know it might seem boring waiting for updates but in the mean time you can go on their website and see what they have in their system.
1. Promotions
During different times of the year, you might see deals passing by and a long trail of people running for them such as Black Friday, Christmas etc. But you might have not notice that some stores don’t even do this! I know this might sound a bit obvious but a lot of people miss this fact. For my choice I love stores like TOMTOP and GEARBEST because no matter who you are, you always get a percentage off a certain gadget for a set amount of days for as much as 30% off!
You might have noticed an exclusive zone if you visited the stores I just pointed up and you can even win free Laptops, Smartphones and Gadgets by just simply buying anything in that zone is another reason I love them so much. Anyways when you get into a store whether it’s in real life or online make sure they have like a brochure or check for promotions.
That was just a list on all the things you should look into when deciding to choose a tech store. By doing this you’ll save a lot of money and still have fun browsing through the vast options available. Not forgetting your precious store policy and quick updates through notifications on the latest out there.
